Child Minding Services
At Hermitage Country Club, our complete membership experience extends throughout the family. Perhaps you want to enjoy our fine dining room. Maybe you need a nice workout. Perhaps a couple sets of tennis or even nine holes are on your agenda. You have the comfort in knowing we have a safe and fun environment for your children while you enjoy some much-needed “You” time. This service is complimentary to our members and available to children who are 1 year old up to 5th grade!
Youth Tennis
We offer year-round tennis clinics for juniors ages 4-16, designed to develop skills in a fun and supportive environment:
- Red Ball (Ages 4-8)
- Orange Ball (Ages 8-10)
- Green Dot (Ages 10-12)
- Yellow Ball (Ages 12-16)
- Tournament Group (Competitive Players)
For an immersive experience, our Summer Tennis Camps (June-August) provide juniors with an opportunity to improve their game, make new friends, and have fun on the courts.
Junior Golf
Our Junior Golf Program provides young golfers with exciting opportunities to learn and compete, including:
- PGA Junior League
- Summer Camps
- Operation 36
These programs offer professional instruction, skill development, and a fun, team-oriented approach to the game.
Swim Team – The Hermitage Hurricanes
Forecast calls for a Hurricane Watch!
The Hermitage Hurricanes Swim Team is a fantastic way for young swimmers to build confidence, improve fitness, and compete in a fun and supportive environment. The team focuses on unity, sportsmanship, self-improvement, and social connection across all age groups.
As part of the James River Aquatics Club (JRAC), the Hurricanes compete against 18 other teams across three divisions (Blue, Red, and White). The six-meet season runs through June and July, with three home meets at Hermitage and three away meets.
Swimmers compete based on their age as of June 1st and will remain in the same division for the entire season:
- Mites (8 & under)
- Midgets (9-10)
- Juniors (11-12)
- Intermediates (13-14)
- Seniors (15-18)
