Event Servers play a vital role in ensuring each event is executed flawlessly and exceeds member and guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
· Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, linens, place settings, and service stations
· Provide attentive food and beverage service during events, including plated meals, buffets, and passed hors d’oeuvres
· Maintain a clean and organized event space throughout service
· Follow event timelines and coordinate with banquet captains and kitchen staff
· Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally
· Adhere to all service standards, safety guidelines, and club policies
· Assist with post-event cleanup and resetting for future functions

Qualifications:
· Previous banquet, catering, or restaurant experience preferred
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
· Strong teamwork and communication skills
· Professional appearance and excellent customer service attitude
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays weighing up to 30 lbs
· Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

You will support the service team by ensuring dining areas are clean, organized, and efficiently maintained while assisting with timely food delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist servers with table service, including refilling water, clearing plates, and resetting tables
• Deliver food from the kitchen to members and guests promptly and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, service stations, and work areas
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Anticipate member needs and provide courteous, attentive support
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Cleans all club facilities including the clubhouse, golf pro shop, sports center, golf course restrooms, and immediate areas surrounding the clubhouse. Washes and dries all laundry.
Job Tasks (Additional Responsibilities)
- Dusts rooms and furniture.
- Cleans restrooms; restocks restroom supplies.
- Vacuums carpets, mops floors throughout the clubhouse, golf pro shop, and sports center
- Sweeps patio area and dusts patio furniture.
- Empties waste baskets, trash receptacles, and ashtrays in the clubhouse, pro shop, and fitness center as well as immediate areas surrounding the clubhouse.
- Disinfects phones.
- Cleans and polishes brass.
- Washes inside windows.
- Reports any damages and plumbing problems to the executive housekeeper.
- Change burnt out bulbs.
- Takes trash to dumpsters.
- Cleans and maintains all doors.
- Polishes glass, table surfaces, counters, shelves, desks, office equipment, and door handles.
- Cleans baseboard throughout the clubhouse, pro shop, and sports center.
- Cleans walls throughout the clubhouse, pro shop, sports center, and golf course restrooms.
- Maintains outside of clubhouse, pro shop, sports center (cleans walkways, patios, and entrances. Removes all cobwebs and debris.
- Maintains the pool area including changing rooms and restrooms.
- Cleans exterior of HVAC vents.
- Conducts deep-cleaning projects as assigned.
- Cleans employees’ restrooms.
- Cleans cigarette containers at entrances.
- Cleans elevators, stairwells, and landings; dust ceiling light fixtures; completes spot cleaning as necessary.
- Checks curtains for repair.
- Transports soiled towels and rags to linen bin.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by executive housekeeper.

Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and refine menu items, ensuring a diverse and exciting dining selection. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Proven experience as a Line Cook in a reputable restaurant or similar culinary setting. Culinary degree or relevant culinary education is a plus. Flexibility in schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Position Overview:
Oversees food preparation, kitchen sanitation, kitchen labor costs, recipe development and menu design. Monitors and evaluates requisitions and purchases of food supplies.


Responsible for profitable operation of food preparation area, monthly and yearly budgets and administrative needs of the position.  Remains up to date on current food trends, membership needs and evaluation of the competition.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

                                                                                                                         
  • Coordination of Food & Beverage purchases to ensure top quality and price effectiveness
  • Consults with Clubhouse Manager, Food and Beverage Managers, or Catering Manager concerning club banquets and services, setting such points as cooking and service arrangements, timing of event, set-up, equipment needs, etc.
  • Plan meals and create menus whole considering the probable number of guests, market conditions, popularity of various dishes and recent menus
  • Maintain Hermitage Country Club standards in both Dining Rooms and Employee meals
  • Prepares or directly supervises kitchen staff responsible for the daily preparation of soups, sauces, and “specials” to ensure that methods of cooking, garnishing and portion-sizing are as prescribed by club’s standard recipes
  • Assists the Executive Chef with monthly inventories, pricing, cost controls, requisitioning and issuing for food production
  • Assumes complete charge of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Sous Chef
  • Assists Executive Chef with supervision and training of employees, sanitation and safety, menu planning and related production activities
  • Consistently maintains standards of quality, cost, presentation, and flavor of foods
  • Ensures proper staffing for maximum productivity and high standards of quality; controls food and payroll costs to achieve maximum profitability
  • Personally works in any station as assigned by the Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef
  • Expedites food orders during peak service hours
  • Checks mise en place before service time and inspects presentation of food items to ensure that quality standards are met
  • Reports all member and guest complaints to the chef and assists in resolving complaints
  • Understands and consistently follows proper sanitation practices including those for personal hygiene
  • Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Executive Chef


Experience, Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree from approved school or completion of an approved apprentice program
  • Food safety certification
  • Possesses a knowledge of the culinary profession and problems relevant to the management of the kitchen
  • Extensive food production experience plus management and administrative skills
  • Working knowledge to be acquired on the job, such as policies and procedures of The Peninsula Club, cost and pricing analysis, administrative and managerial responsibilities
Physical Requirements:

  • Prepare ingredients for banquet service, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning
  • Assist in the preparation of hot and cold menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies for banquet execution
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
  • Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices in compliance with health regulations
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to meet production timelines for events
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
