Assistant Food & Beverage Director

Hermitage Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented, engaging, and experienced Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Food & Beverage. Management of dining room service and banquet service in the manner most pleasing to members and their guests. Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of both the dining room and events. Supervises and assists with training of food & beverage staff. Manages within budgetary restraints. Develops and implements programs to increase the levels of member satisfaction. This individual will ensure that all staff has a positive and friendly attitude aligning with our club culture.

  • Responsible for training, development and supervision of the food and beverage staff team members.

  • Assist in day-to-day floor supervision including payroll control, hiring/termination, performance 

    evaluations, training workshops, orientation/onboarding, and employee discipline.
  • Responsible for strict enforcement and upgrading of Standards of Operation for A la carte and Banquets.

  • Explore innovative avenues for increasing Food & Beverage Gross and Net dollars to plan on a

     per month/period basis by concentrating strongly on increasing covers and check averages as they apply to: A la carte and Banquets.
  • Inspection of the service staff and ensure that they understand all daily events, specials and featured items

  • Supervise the Food & Beverage service staff team by directing the flow of service in the various dining venues of the club.
  • Attend and lead all daily line-up meetings, weekly staff meetings, weekly F&B BEO and service meetings, and attend all House Committee meetings.
  • Inspection of the service staff and ensure that they understand all daily events, specials and featured items.  (A la carte, banquet and bars)
  • Evaluate and meet with the service staff 1 on 1 on a monthly basis (informal reviews and mentorship).
  • Approve all schedule changes and ensure that the club is properly staffed on a daily basis.
  • Inspect the dining room so its appearance level is according to Club Standards and is ready
  • Inspect banquet and events prior to start
  • for member/guest usage.

    Candidate Qualifications:

  • Must have a ‘service attitude’
  • Be a leader and coach the team
  • Have basic wine knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years of Club experience

    Educational Requirements:

Youth Counselor for Fun Zone

The Tot Spot is the fun place that members' and their guests' drop off their children for crafts and activities. The Fun Zone is open 7-days a week from 7:30 am to 1 pm and then 4 pm until 9 pm. The person for this position must be creative, fun, interactive, and have a positive, friendly personality. This position will be responsible for the following: Providing excellent customer service and having outstanding communications skills are desired for this position. Line Cook

This private country club position is responsible for preparing food items required for all a la carte and banquet events, including luncheons, dinners, and special parties. Banquet Servers

We pay our banquet servers one of the highest wages in the area.  Not only will you make an high hourly wage you will also receive tip-sharing and a percentage of the service charge for each event. Part-time employees receive Paid Time off, free meals, free golf on Mondays, and holiday pay. Asst. Golf Professional

Candidates must be Class “A” PGA Members in good standing. Minimum of 3 years golf operations management experience as a head professional or first assistant professional at a private club. Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred. Candidates must have the ability to deliver a high-quality standard of service, consistently with emphasis on continuous improvement. Excellent communication (written and oral) and people skills are a must. Ability to train, motivate and supervise.   A clear understanding of golf, private club, and/or hospitality operations Thrive in a team environment focused on excellence. Duties include delivering food orders from the kitchen to members’ tables rapidly and accurately, communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests, and assisting the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils and napkins. Certified Yoga Instructor

Yoga Instructor will lead members, in a group environment, through a pre-arranged format of Yoga techniques to enhance overall fitness, strength and endurance, while ensuring that the safety of the members is not compromised. The Group Exercise Instructor will also serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitnessMust have a Yoga Instructor certification as well as CPR.
